City Crafter Challenge Blog Week #267

Hello everyone,

It is time for a new challenge at City Crafter Challenge Blog and our host is Stella who would like to see a project in blue and green with a splash of red.
Here is the gorgeous inspiration photo:


And here is my card:


I went with mixed media style...


Alot of gesso and distress paints...


...and layer upon layer of embellishments...


Everything was layered on the home made canvas using a piece of a cardboard...

  4. I thought it was a canvas too- a fabulous mixed media card,great texture and love all the layers and embellishments and the splashes of colour

  5. So pretty with all the gessoed layers ! This looks great on the cardboard base - as everyone's saying - I thought it was a canvas! and you made it into a beautiful card - won't the receiver love this work of art! Julia xx

I love how you used splashes of colour here and there, and those little red gems just pop off your canvas! What a yummy take on the inspiration photo, I really love your mixed media interpretation!   13. How captivating! I love the inspiration photo, but seeing your take gives it a whole new life. I really like your hombre color fade from darker to light and then a neutral to divide and then begin the next color and your focus of highlight reds were perfectly placed. What a beautiful piece of art you've designed here Samra.
