City Crafter Challenge Blog Week #268 "Let's Go Nautical"

Hello everyone,

It is time for a brand new challenge at City Crafter Challenge Blog and I am the host for this week's challenge. I picked this photo inspiration to give you some idea and hopefully the card that I made and makes of my team mates will inspire you to create a nautical themed project and join the fun. :)

And here is my nautical card:

As you can see, many textures and nautical objects form inspiration photo came to life in my card :)

To antique my cutouts I used clear crackle paint and then inked everything slightly with antique linen ink...

This card has quite a bit of dimension with all the layers of nautical paper and embellishments...

One more peek at the card...

Guest designer this week is Judith, please stop by her blog to check out her fabulous work and say hi :) and also by my team mates blogs to check out their makes for this week's challenge :)

I would like to enter my card into following challenges:

That Craft Place "Layers"

Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Summer"

Creative Craft Cottage "Spots or Stripes"

I hope you enjoyed this post...
Have a wonderful day and thanks for stopping by...

  3. Oh my gosh Samra, this is just awesome! I love the nautical theme and you have used all my favourite things about it! The navy blue coupled with the neutrals and a splash of red is the perfect palette, and those pieces of burlap add such a great nautical feel to it. The little clip with the steering wheel is a small detail but one that really grabs my eye, it's the details like that, that make your creations such a pleasure to look at! You totally rocked it girl! See you on the dance floor. hugs :)

  8. If someone told me to go to the port, I'd undoubtedly zag to the starboard and visa versa and probably knock myself silly on the masts, if not end up tossing myself overboard, because I'm completely clueless on terms. However, I do recognize a gorgeous card when I see one and this screams nautical and amazing to me! Fantabulous job on this seaside theme Samra.
    Big hugs,
